We started selling furniture because we wanted to provide customers with exactly the pieces they wanted in their homes, down to the exact finish, size, hardware, and wood. For us, the furniture-buying process should be all about the customer. None of our salespeople are paid on commission, which means they aren’t trying to sell for the sake of making a sale. What you’ll get when you work with us is an experienced professional who has been trained to help create custom furniture pieces. In short, we believe it’s the American way to listen to what the customer wants, and respond accordingly.
Not everyone comes to us with a complete vision for their custom furniture. And that’s fine with us. Homestead takes the intimidation out of creating custom furniture, so you don’t need to feel pressure to know exactly what you want when you come to us. Our design team is trained to hep eliminate the confusion and clutter and get you what you want. You can start from scratch, or use a pre-existing piece as inspiration. Either way, one of our furniture experts walks with you through each step of the design process.
Great furniture is made by getting the details right. That’s why Homestead uses top-of-the-line resources and hardware on all of our pieces. We use our trademarked ProTekt finish, which is the highest quality varnish available to guarantee a long-lasting, durable coating that protects furniture from water rings, heat blemishes, and more. Homestead also has a library of more than 2,000 colors and stains, many of them are achieved through a multi-step layering process. We love creating pieces that are made to last from one generation to the next, so we pay extra attention to little details because we want you to have heirloom-quality furnishings.
The way we build furniture is a little different from most manufacturers.
For example, one craftsman will build a piece from start-to-finish — there are no assembly lines in our construction process.
All of our pieces get sanded and finished by hand, because we believe that attention to detail is key to creating a long-lasting, heirloom-quality piece of furniture.
We also include our customer in each part of the design process — no matter what, we never say ‘no’ to your design vision.
Homestead loves the chance to interact with our community, so year-round we host a variety of events on our campus. During warmer months, we host Food Truck Fridays, where local food trucks circle up and serve lunch. In early summer, our Strawberry Social draws thousands of people, all who come to enjoy homemade strawberry pie and ice cream. We sponsor 5K races to help raise awareness and donations for local causes, and all of our events are family-friendly. We love to offer a chance for visitors to experience a slice of our Amish heritage.
