Exceptionally well built custom furniture comes from caring about the details.

When it comes to detail, we’ve been perfecting our furniture since we started our business out of a chicken coop in 1990. From our ProTekt™ finish, which adds years to your piece, to our extensive color library, we put a lot of effort into the tiny details that make a big difference in the lifetime of your furniture. Our customer always has the final say in the details that get included in a custom piece of furniture because ultimately, we’re creating an heirloom piece to become part of your family history.

Crafting better furniture

When it’s time to build our furniture, a single craftsman crafts a piece from start to finish. Every woodworker has his own cell where he builds one project at a time. When construction is complete, our furniture is coated with our ProTekt™ finish, a catalyzed varnish that adds top-of-the-line protection to each piece so it can last for generations.

We don’t say NO

One of the benefits of having our own factory, is that we never have to turn down a project. No matter what the request, we don’t say “no.” We’re able to complete any custom project our customers bring to us because we build everything on site, and don’t have to adhere to strict manufacturing standardized sizing. If you can imagine it, we can build it.

From the species of wood we build with to the hardware used to finish it, our customers have a say in each step of the build process. Our library of more than 2,000 stains and colors have been carefully created in our on-site Color Lab and allow us to match any color or stain imaginable. Whether you prefer a traditional finish or something more modern and cutting-edge, we can create exactly what you want.

Most of the wood we use is sourced from local mills, and all of our wood is sustainably harvested. Homestead is Certified Green, and we are also part of the Sustainable Furnishings Council. We believe in maintaining a responsible environmental footprint so that we can continue to use the best wood and resources for our furniture.
